We paid a visit to new cafe today in Chinatown, Singapore. It was fArt tArtz (capital letter in A because the food presentation here is so artsy, and if not in capital letter A I always think it is just like fart.. and that's why I still remember the name vividly even after months.. 👀😂)located in South Bridge Road. The location was not very easy to find and at first I was at doubt on this cafe, thinking it would be just a normal cafe, but the moment I walked inside and looked at the menu (of course, with the cute flower pot dessert? Yeah, you know what I meant right), this cafe seems to be appealing for me. The decoration in the cafe was whitish in color and the minimalist design made it comfortable for an especially happy weekend lunch! Did I mention that it was really instaworthy? Suitable for dating, girls' outing especially, because you will be wow-ed the 1st time you look at your foods.

They served a varieties of pasta dishes, burgers, sandwiches as main course. The food menu came with photo for illustration as well, so it can help you 'visualize' your instagram feed? 😄 I was tempted to try the pasta, because all the pasta were served in glass jar! It was my 1st time to eat spaghetti in glass jar and I was curious to dine. I think the menu was interesting, because you will see these kinds of pasta dishes such as sambal sea catch pasta (ok, sambal pasta.. this sounds weird?), golden salted egg yolk pasta (ok, is this like the famous Irwin's salted egg fish skin snacks?). chilled prawn angel hair (ok, chilled pasta dish, is this like Japan's cold noodle?) and more for you to discover. I landed on sambal sea catch pasta and my hubby opted for cheese baked rice (forgot the menu name already). For the taste, I felt it was pretty average, the food presentation was definitely nice, but I don't really think sambal and spaghetti is a good match? Just my personal opinion, because the sambal tasted sweet and spicy. Other than the sambal, I felt it was actually nice dining here.

They served a varieties of drinks as well, ranging from coffee to freshly brewed tea to refreshing ice blended drinks, and etcetera. For us, we took blueberry USA Arizona tea, and again the bottle is so pretty, because you can use it as a small pot to keep dried flowers. The cafe really had this decoration on top of each table, where they used the empty Arizona tea container and put dried flowers inside, and da-dang, a nice style came out! Interior design, huh? And that's why, I had insisted to bring the empty tea bottle back, oh ya, together with the light blue flower, planning to decorate our place.. And now... they were stored inside my wardrobe 😓😅 Just like me, a rubbish collector..

Before you left the place, don't forget their lovely desserts for you! I can't leave without the dessert here, because it was so beautiful. You can see two main types of dessert presentation here, either dessert in flower pot style or glass jar style. I chose flower-potted 'mud' tart style because we think it was cuter. It was a non-bake speciality cheese tarts and had four flavors for you to choose - nutella oreo, cookie butter, matcha and mango. Argh, tough choice here. At the end, I chose matcha and got the light blue flower on top! My hubby said the light blue flower looks like me, because it looks pure and innocent (ok, don't puke please.. we are always disgusting.. but I think this time he is right in this thou..). So that's how our selection of dessert went. Indeed, the taste was nice and the cheese was not too cheesy as it was blended with match inside, and the 'mud' itself was a layer of crunchy chocolate cookies pieces. The dessert itself was not only nice to see, nice to hold, nice to take photo, but nice to eat also!

Just like the name sounds, it is truly a Bliss in Every Bite dining experience in fArt tArtz cafe!
