It was our 1st day in France and we were in Paris, the famous city of romance and love in the world! 💖We sat Eurostar train from London to Paris on previous day and checked in our hotel at Avalon Hotel Paris Gare du Nord. After rest for the night, we started our journey the next day morning in Paris town. The 1st destination that we ventured around was Montmarte. It was a lovely and artsy town that we enjoyed so much. We bought some cute Paris souvenirs back home too! When evening approached, we went to Montparnasse Tower to have a bird eye view of Paris city. The view here was breathtaking especially the changing for light from dusk to night. The most special moment was the hourly lighting show of Eiffel tower, the blinking light of Eiffel tower left a strong impression in my heart! We ended our night with a river cruise in Seine river. It was raining mildly on the day and we were not able to sit outdoor to enjoy the view to the fullest. Nonetheless, it was a nice relaxing cruise to end the 1st day of Paris journey. 😍

- A large hill which is 430ft high, the sloppy street and heritage feeling make it a nice place for sightseeing
- Houses the Basilica of Sacre-Coeur, a church on the hill with a panaromic view of Paris city and a small Eiffel tower view
- Have the famous love wall which states "I 💓 You" phrase by using multiple languages around the world! Come here for the fun of spotting your hometown language！
- Have the famous Moulin Rouge which is a cabaret show in Paris famous among locals and tourists. The musical performance comes with or without dinner, depending on your preference.
- Recommended place to visit to experience the Parisian's culture, walk around some tourist sites, buy some souvenirs, eat some nice foods and lastly get your own portrait drawing in this artsy town!

- One of the most iconic monument in Paris, at the top of Butte Montmartre
- A white color Roman Catholic church and minor basilica in Paris, dedicated to the sacred heart of Jesus
- Has the panaromic view of Paris city from here. You may pay a fee and climb the steep staircases to reach the Dome which can view from a higher point.
- Entrance Fees (as of 2020): Free of charge for all visitors to visit the Basilica, except Dome and Crypt which come at a cost

👉 How to Reach:
- For those who have difficulty climbing up the sloppy street, is highly recommended to sit a train to go uphill, especially when you are going with elderly or children
- For those who like to sightseeing, may walk up the sloppy street up to the top of Basilica of Sacre-Coeur, to fully immerse yourself in the city of Montmarte

| Love sitting in this train, very convenient, also have many Paris songs playing inside the train, they will introduce some Paris attractions when passby too (but all of them are in Paris language, so we can't understand a single bit haha) 喜欢这个火车，方便，而且还播了很多巴黎的歌曲和介绍路途上的景点（不过是法文，听不懂😄) |

👉 Tips:
- Sunset hours are nice in Basilica of Sacre-Coeur as it overlooks the city of Paris
- Prepare for a long queue to go in Basilica of Sacre-Coeur
- Outside of the Bascilica of Sacre-Coeur has a lot of souvenir shops which you will definitly spoilt for choices, you can get to paint your face portrait here too! An artistic place where you can easily spend few hours!
Moulin Rouge
👉 Background & History:
- Famous cabaret show in Paris
- Birth place of the modern form of can can dance
- A troupe of 80 artists, including 60 Doriss Girls recruited world-wide to perform the show. They are dressed in flamboyant color and attractive costumes which made of feathers, rhinestones and sequins, and dance to the original music recorded by 80 musicians and 60 chorus singers. This will definitely be an eye-opening and enjoyable night for all audiences
- May pair up with dinner and wine if you would love to spend the whole night enjoying the show and satisfy your hunger in Moulin Rouge. Alternatively head to show only if you are on tight budget.

- Take note of the dress code for Moulin Rouge. They only accept smart attire, which means shorts, flipflops, sport wears, leisure wears are not allowed.
- Prepare for a long queue to go in Moulin Rouge, so come here as early as possible
- Remember to make reservation online before going to Moulin Rouge
- For budget traveler, go for only show at 9pm or 11pm. For those who want to enjoy to the fullest, splurge on dinner with show at 7pm.
- Take note NO photography and videography are allowed in Moulin Rouge.
Wall of Love (Le Mur des Je T'aime)
👉 Background & History:
- 40 square metres love theme wall
- Features 311 different languages of words "I Love You"
- Dozens of red specks that flung across the tiles have a hidden meaning behind it. They represent broken pieces of heart which scattered throughout the Wall of Love. When all of them pieced back together, it forms a complete heart and full symbolism of love. This message is that as a society we have a long way to repair our collective hearts and brining all the pieces back together.
- Entrance Fees: Free of charge for all visitors
- Opening Time: 8am-6pm (depending on season), closed on evening to protect the wall from vandalism
