Below is the customized google map for my Santorini trip, that shows the most instagrammable places in Santorini island! I have grouped the attractions by areas as below:
a) Oia - red color marker

OIA (red color marker): Where to Go?

2) Parque Oya
👉 Tips:
- Not so many people crowded here for photo, can come here anytime you like
- One of the must shooting place for a lot of couples, especially famous among pre-wedding photo-shooters

3) Panagia Platsani
👉 Tips:
- Always crowded, so come here in the early morning if want to take proper photos

4) Melenio Cafe
👉 Tips:
- Pastry shop to serve dessert and beverages
- Remember to try baklava and kataifi if you are interested in Greek dessert, they are super sweet though 😆
- Order dessert and drink for each person is compulsory if you want to sit at the corner seats which overlooking the beautiful Aegean sea coastal view together with the famous blue domes.
- There are underground cafe and terrace cafe available. Both of them are usually packed with tourists especially the terrace which offers the beautiful view. So if you want to visit, please be patient to queue for your turn, and bad thing is they don't accept any reservation, so just walk in and enjoy!
- My best tea time moment ever in my lifetime with the insanely beautiful view!
5) 3 Blue Domes
👉 Tips:
- Most famous spot in Oia, you must check in here because this is the real stuff in Santorini!
- Listed as one the most photographed place in the world
- If you prefer to have a zoomed-out view of the 3 blue domes photos, then turn left hand side once you reach the fork road
- If you want to have a closer look of the 3 blue domes photos, then turn right hand side once you reach the fork road
- If you don't know how to make a decision, go to both sides! See which queue is shorter then take photos at that side 1st before heading to the next one! 😂
- If you want to take the photo of cute pink and blue dome together, then you need to go up the main street and walk further down the road
6) Atlantis Books
👉 Tips:
- Listed as one of the world's most beautiful bookshop to visit in your lifetime
- Best spot to take photo is the outside of the bookstore. The store is at the underground, just walk few staircases down to visit it. Where else can we get such a cute exterior look of bookstore in the world? It is so Greek style as well!
7) Meteor Cafe
👉 Tips:- Small and charming cafe which is the coolest and favorite bar among travelers in Oia
- Best spot to take the photo is outside of the cafe. The special exterior outlook of the cafe which boasts the soft blue and cute pink colors definitely make it an insta-worthy photo during your trip!
8) Pink Staircases @ Kastro Oia Restaurant
- Kastro Oia restaurant is a famous sunset restaurant which is situated on the cliff of Oia village
- Go for early in the morning if want to avoid all crowds
- During peak season, this place will be full of tourists, so those who want to take a good photo of yourself only, can avoid during the famous sunset hours
9) Byzantine Castle Ruins
👉 Tips:
- A great viewpoint to enjoy panoramic view of Oia villages, cliff, Aegean sea
- A remains of 15th century castle between Oia and Ormos
- Boasts the most beautiful sunset viewpoint spot in the world
- Listed as one the most photographed place in the world
- Best photography advice: Come here 2 hours before sunset time (non peak season) and 4 hours before sunset time (peak season) to grab the first row best spot which overlooks the stunning sunset view and avoid all crowds in your photos
- Photos with angles overlooking Oia's windmill, white buildings, Aegean sea and beautiful sky as below are the first row best spot point of view. FYI, we arrived here 2 hours before sunset time and so lucky, we secured the last available spot! Can you really imagine the crazy crowd daily to see the best sunset view of the world? 😲
- We stay from evening till night. Both have different kinds of vibes which are charming in it's own way. What's more there is a person who is singing and playing guitar on the spot, so you can enjoy the relaxing and much more romantic atmosphere.
- During the evening, Oia has the most romantic scene which is a mixture of windmill, white houses, cliff, boat, port, Aegean sea and etcetera. We watch the sun slowly falling on the horizon, and hear a loud cheering at the end when sky turns dark. Everyone is clapping the hands to give applause to this spectacular sunset view in Oia.
- When night is here, Oia becomes more romantic, when the little houses turn on the light slowly. The golden light starts to sparkle just like stars on the sky. On top of that, swimming pools in Oia hotels which have the soft blue light are being turned on as well, which makes me falling in love with these soft yet romantic night scene more than sunset hours.
10) Amoudi Bay
👉 Tips:
- Tiny fishing port located about 300 steps below the Oia town
- Best photo spot is the one at the end which overlooks the red volcanic rock and white buildings of Oia at the top of the cliff, together with the beautiful Aegean sea view
- The staircases are quite filled with donkey shits, please beware when you make any move! 😁
- Don't make your 300 steps go wasted, book yourself a nice sunset seafood restaurant here in Amoudi Bay! The spectacular view and eating just beside the Aegean sea, together with the most famous sunset, you can really spend few hours of your time here! 11) Agia Ekaterini Church
👉 Tips:
- Not so many people crowded here for photo, can come here anytime you like, but best to come in early morning to have the photo all to yourself
- Stand at the end overlooking Aegean sea is the best photo spot

12) The Sunset Windmill
👉 Tips:
- Traditional cycladic style windmill used formerly in Santorini
- Has been transformed to a modern accommodation for travelers in Oia
- Book the accommodation early if you are going in peak season
- This is closed when we visited in end April 2019, it seems like some renovation is ongoing, but we have a chance to take some beautiful photos outside
FIRA/FIROSTEFANI/IMEROVIGLI (orange color marker): Where to Go?

1) Skaros Rock/Theoskepasti Church
- Rock formation extended from Imerovigli and stand amidst the Aegean sea
- Created through volcanic eruption of the nearby Santorini caldera
- Elevated landmark of the rock makes it an important medieval fortress in the Greek island of Santorini
- Best to go for sunset view and back before sky turns dark as there is no light in the area
- There is a church situated on the cliffs below the rock
- What's makes this view special in Santorini? This blue dome church view should be the one nearest to the ocean with an unblocked view of Santorini coastal caldera view

2) Anastasi Orthodox Church
👉 Tips:
- Best spot to take the photo is church overlooking the coast line of Santorini
Thanks to a married couple from Hong Kong who helps us take the photo, we have met them several times in Santorini! Well, it is not a big island and everyone is going to the exact famous photo spot 😆

3) Three Bells of Fira
👉 Tips:
- The famous Santorini church overlooks the calm water of Aegean sea, that appears in the National Geographic
- Go for early in the morning if want to avoid all crowds
- Go for sunset if want to have a nice orange color sunset view
- My personal preference is morning when there is no crowd or tour bus, but the photo taken seems abit gloomy and grayish if the sun has not risen up fully yet
- Cannot walk to very near to take nicer and clearer photo, we can only take photo of this blue dome church from the parking space above

The next day early morning we come here again! It is a bit grayish as the sun hasn't rise up fully yet,
we are way too early for this as we want to avoid all the crowds 😂
隔天早上我们有来这里打卡啦！那时还早，☀公公还没完全起身，所以这里会有点灰灰的感觉，
不过好处是不会人挤人，你爱怎么拍就怎么拍！
A china elder couple see us trying to take this shots by setting up tripod and running to and fro endlessly, and hence been so nice to offer us the help to just take the photo for us (after he helps to take finish his wife photos, like many shots haha)

(Bonus) Walking trail from Imerovigli to Firostefani & Fira
👉 Tips:
- The village of Imerovigli is situated on the highest point of caldera overlooking Aegean sea, which makes the walking trail along the edge of the cliff to have a breathtaking view of the coastal line and white washed buildings perched on top of it.
- Walk along the edge of the cliff for the best view of coastal line and Aegean sea.
- This route allows you to see the charming scenery of the Greek Island, and also check in the National Geography famous Greek Blue Dome Church (in Firosteni), and finally reach to Fira town which is full of souvenir shops all over the alleys!
- Walk on the road side (less scenic) if want to save time and faster reach your hotel at night.
- Recommend to enjoy the walking trail with the scenic view in the day time, and end the day by walking the roadside to reach your hotel faster.

👉 Tips:
- Best time to visit is during sunset hours. Indulge in the wine tasting session with the spectacular sunset view is truly an amazing experience to try when you are in Santorini.
- Remember to reserve especially sunset hours. The restaurant is very packed and you may not have the chance to dine in here if you walk in, unless u come during non-peak hours.

2) Pyrgos Town
👉 Tips:
- Come here about 2 hours before sunset, so that you can visit the village and buy some souvenirs, then end your day with some wine tasting in Santo Winery.
- We have bought some souvenirs here in Pyrgos town. Although the varieties of souvenirs are not that much, however the price is truly cheap, the cheapest one we able to grab throughout the whole trip in Santorini.
- We walk around aimlessly in Pyrgos town without any Google maps. Sometimes it is nice to get lost in this local village too.
