👉 Well, for me, matcha is the only thing I am looking forward to.. 😀Of course, you can expect yourself decent japanese meal as well, the menu is simple yet able to attract many visitors, scroll down to learn more.

👉 Unfortunately no, but you already got yourself discount directly in the menu when you dine in! Make use of it and treat yourself with the nice matcha dessert in the house.

5. What is the recommended time to dine in this restaurant?

👉 Our personal favourite is during night time. This is because the cafe has a big window which directly facing the view outside with colorful water fountain! Food and view at the same time, isn't it amazing to end your night.

We had paid a visit to Suntec City for shopping on the weekend night! We stopped for dinner to rest ourselves at Maccha House which is located at the ground floor of the shopping mall. To be frank, there are many restaurants to choose for at the ground floor, you can find yourself in the food heaven with outlets such as italian, thai, chinese, western, korean and etcetera. We were in dilemma choosing for place to dine. Especially at weekend, restaurants in Singapore are always crowded and one needs to queue outside in order waiting to be seated, it is not a bizarre view. We roamed around and finally my eyes were captivated by this green tasty menu which is matcha! Yeah. my love to match is just growing stronger and stronger, and I just couldn't explain why. Only the matcha reason is solid enough to make me decided for dinner at the Japanese restaurant - Maccha House! 😍

Let's settle ourselves down and look at the menu. You can see there are few promotions available on the restaurant. Even myself stucked in dilemma again when placing the food order. The food menu is not truly extensive, mostly you can find bento set and hotpot set. However, the one puts me in dilemma is the extensive range of beverages and desserts to choose from, and of course they are all matcha! Matcha lover, just drop by here and treat your taste bud!

The PAIR set meal for consideration!

My personal favorite on matcha drink is the type that is not very sweet as the sweetness would cover the bitterness of the matcha. As much as I love to eat sweet desserts and chocolates, when it comes to matcha, I just adore the bitterness of it.. 😏 Haha.. Weirdo? Or speaking nicely, is a person who truly knows how to enjoy the true-self of matcha, just like the original taste over the artificial one thou 😋. Hence, I have asked the waiter which one is the recommended drink on the menu, and for sure he pointed me the traditional maccha menu, it is actually a drink which you can make your own matcha drink by mixing the matcha powder and hot water yourself, just like the japan style tea culture I guess? I nodded my head to give the menu a try.. And, guess what, after a few minutes I have changed my mind to another drink on the menu which is maccha latte float with shiratoma, it was my initial pick but I was carried away by the waiter. However, I just couldn't take my eyes away from this menu which has matcha drink, together with matcha ice cream on top and also the bouncy balls as topping. Duhh... girls... Always indecisive.. 😂 Or just like to follow the mood.. 😜

So after the long story just now, that's the drink that arrived!

are actually made from matcha. Yummy! 💜

Personally, I prefer the noodles to be the udon type and not the ramen type. I feel that the "fat" udon noodles has more bouncy feeling on your taste bud and the green tea smell could be stronger in the sense? In Singapore, ramen is more sought after than udon, there are actually many ramen shops booming around, but as much as I love matcha, I just love udon as well! Set aside the noodles portion, the taste is actually not bad and is a place to get decent japanese food. After the food tasting, slowly enjoy the drink and just sit down, relax, surf the internet or just selfies like what we do. 😄Of course, we choose the seatings facing the outside view as well, you still remember the colorful water fountain which I mentioned in the FAQ section earlier right.

The price is also considerably cheap as you can see from the menu above. My choice on maccha house bento set is priced at $9.99, and you able to get yourself  main course, side dish, sushi, dessert! My bf choice on sukiyaki hotpot set is priced at $13.99, and you able to savour the hotpot with tons of meats inside, noodle soup, and sushi! However, drinks are slightly on the expensive side, but you complete them with the set meal which means you are entitled to get 20% off drinks as well!

iLight Marina Bay Singapore 2018

FAQ on iLight Marina Bay Singapore event:

1. What attracts you to come to this event?

👉 Annual event in Singapore, which last only 1 month, and of course plus the phototshooting chance! (i.e. Flowery Merlion Singapore display can be seen this time of the year during the event!)

2. What you expect to enjoy in this event?

👉 A total of 22 light display around the Marina Bay area, inflatable fun zone area for your kids, foodies around the world, beautiful night view of light displays and buildings in Marina Bay area, adrenaline rush in nearby Prudential Marina Bay Carnival!

3. Any admission fees needed for this event?

👉 No admission fees for this event, FOC posing opportunities with the 22 light display. However, you have to pay if you want to play games in the carnival and entry into inflatable fun zone area, last but not least, foods to satisfy your hunger..

4. How long does the event last?

👉 As this is an annual event, it only lasts from 9 March 2018 till 1 April 2018 (no april fool, no joke, really 1 April 2018 is the last day..). So what are you waiting for? (don't so rush thou, spare some time to read finish my experience in the blog below first..)

5. What is the recommended time to visit during this event?

👉 Of course we would recommend at night! Head to Marina Bay for dinner, then hang around in the famous casino (oops, don't gamble.. is not good, see see will do, or like me, go inside and drink free milo), then just head outside and start to massage your feet as it will be a long journey to explore the 22 light display.. After that, just walk and snap till you drop, jawdrop.. 

We had a fun dating night at Marina Bay Sands Singapore. We visited here in conjunction with the annual event iLight festival in MBS Singapore. This programme runs from 9 March 2018 to 1 April 2018. There are a total of 22 light installations around the Marina Bay Sands area such as Art Science Museum, Helix Bridge, Merlion Park and etcetera. The light installations are created by artists from Singapore and around the world. They are energy saving light installations to remind people to be environmentally friendly and protect our Mother Earth. The event itself is meaningful and is located directly at Marina Bay Waterfront which is a tourist hotspot. So hit the place and enjoy the seabreeze for the night. For more details, refer to the map below for the light installation directory and say ready, set, go! 😁

We started from he exterior of Art Science Museum and able to catch the night display on the beautiful lotus building of the museum. We then walked on the Helix Bridge and took few shots of night view over there. Once you alight from Helix Bridge, you will reach Art Zoo inflatable fun zone for family and kids. Admission fees are required for this inflatable fun zone.

After we passed the Art Zoo area, we continued our walking journey and there are quite a number of light installations which are creative and certainly lit up the night. The light installation is scattered around the entire Marina Bay Sands and we ended up spent 3 hours just to view half of the light installation.

Before we reached our last stop of With Love display as the big red heart photo above, we had detoured to Victoria Theater Singapore. It looks so majestic and grand especially at night! Outside the Victoria Theater, there is one big field for you to roll around  selfie, selfie and selfie! 💛

On our recent visit to Orchard road Singapore, we had a chance to visit this cute theme cafe in Singapore, it is called Charlie Brown cafe! If you are a fans of theme restaurant, or a fans of snoopy, or just simply want to dine with your family, kids and friends, just drop by here to enjoy your lunch or dinner inside the snoopy ambiance cafe. The cafe is Level 4 of Orchard Cineleisure, exactly the same level with cinema. If you are taking the lift, turn left to go to Charlie Brown cafe and turn right to go cinema after your fulfilling meals!

Charlie Brown cafe is located at the corner of the level and it has a big window facing the Orchard road. When we went to have lunch here, we able to choose seating which facing the window and can enjoy the view while dining here. The cafe also has soft musics playing behind and thus you may end up spend few hours here. They also have a screen monitor showing cartoon of the snoopy playing together with the Charlie Brown characters! 😍

They have this delicious and affordable set lunch during lunch hours. Good news for those who work in vicinity. They come with varieties of main course to choose from, and give you free ice lemon tea as beverage, what's more they have chocolate lava cake! This set lunch only comes at a price tag of $8.90 onwards only. Please take note that this set lunch is not applicable on weekends, public holidays and eve of public holidays. 

Just like mentioned in the above FAQ, we have purchased online Fave voucher to enjoy the set meal. We have 4 choices of main course to choose from. For me, I chose mushroom cream pasta and le bf chose turkey ham carbonara pasta. The mushroom cream pasta is quite delicious as the cream is thick and filled with mushroom shredded pieces. It has the natural mushroom smell and guess they are using olive oil for this pasta, which definitely spice up the pasta. For turkey ham carbonara pasta, it comes with an egg on top of your pasta and many slices of turkey ham. It is worth the value of money compared to mushroom cream pasta as it is more fulfilling. Both pastas also come together with the cheese toppings. Last but not least, don't forget the chocolate lava cake. Slight disappointment when we can't see any snoopy face on the cake. This is because when we flipped the menu, the illustration of chocolate lava cake has the snoopy face on top! That's what we hope from Charlie Brown cafe. This might be because we were using the online vouchers? Not sure about this though. However, must admit the chocolate lava cake is delicious and cover back the disappointment. For just $8.90, it gives you complimentary drink and dessert, is truly a steal!

Before heading to window shopping at Orchard road, we took some photos with this cute little cafe. Just right at the entrance, they have this big snoopy for you to take photo with! See Joe Cool snoopy below 💗. So for those that plan to bring kids to dine here, think no more! Kids will love it so much!

I have tried Charlie Brown cafe in Penang, Malaysia before. I personally favor the environment over there as they are tons of photo taking opportunities and they have souvenir shops for you to purchase snoopy related goodies! The decoration and ambiance are cuter in Penang as well. However, for the food, the taste is so so only. The sad news about Charlie Brown cafe in Penang is they already closed their business few years back. 😢 Need to explore more cafes already!

Idealite Vegetarian Restaurant 品味舒食 @ Bugis Village Singapore

Time to cleanse our stomach and thus we went to visit Idealite restaurant at Bugis. Apart from shopping fun in Bugis street, there are plenties of restaurants and eateries around here too. We decided to dine in Idealite vegetarian meals for today, happy stomach happy us! Don't forget to mention that Idealite is an award winning vegetarian restaurant and Bugis is the only place that you able to try out the signature vegetarian dishes!

Just like the menu stated here, Idealite uses top ingredients which bring vast benefits to our health, such as plenty of vegetables, different combination of colors for your dishes to make sure you gain proper nutrition, and they use only good type of oil such as olive oil. So you can rest assured the foods you eat here is definitely no MSG and preservatives etcetera.

Top 10 ingredients used

We first tried this vegetarian chain restaurant at Penang, Malaysia. The price of this vegetarian restaurant is definitely not cheap, but it is worth to splurge for your health occasionally (i.e. time when you feel you eat too much junks.. or time when you feel after eat healthy, you can eat more junk? 😂). After tried the restaurant in Penang and Singapore, I personally favour Penang, as I feel the taste and soup broth over there is slightly thicker than those served in Singapore.

As usual, it took long for us to flip and read through the menu, as the foods are well presented and all pack with high nutrition. After 10 minutes of flipping through the menu, I still go back to my default favourite dish - Hokkaido Miso Pumpkin Soup Ramen, as it has thick pumpkin soup broth and feel so nice in mouth, plus the ramen is wheat ramen! My bf chose Special Fried Rice, fried with olive oil and topped with nuts, vegetables and watermelons. As for drinks, we chose Orange+Pineapple and Passion Fruit+Pineapple. The menu also mentioned the benefits for your body for each type of food and drink you choose. So you can choose according to your body needs. 👍😀

After fulfilling meal, we went to Bugis and started our crazy shopping! There are plenty of shops in Bugis area and especially crowded in weekend, as it is packed with tourists and locals. We stumbled upon this cute decoration and I can't say no to bear! So that's our fruitful weekend treat 💗. Till then..

Travel Frog/ 旅行青蛙/ 旅かえる - Guide Part 2

For my previous blog, I have explained on the installation and step to step guidance on the basic of how to play this well-raved top. #1 game currently in apps store called Travel Frog! In this post, I will share with you guys the english translation version on how to play the game, what is the meaning of each button, what type of foods and items you can pack for your frog etc. There is already a chinese version of guide in apps store, but do not see any english version. Hopefully through this post, everyone is able to join the fun of this game and what's even fun is play together with your friends and see the different kinds of postcards together! 😄

First you will reach this page which is the outdoor garden/yard. Refer Fig.1 for the respective translation on the buttons. Most importantly, collect clover leaves in garden to use as currency to purchase foods and items for your frog. Sometimes you will get visitors/friends of frog such as snail, bee and turtle. I will explain more on visitors/friends later on. When you click on "Room", it will prompt you Fig. 2. Most importantly, tap on "Shop" to purchase foods and items for frog's next journey and then "Luggage Preparation" to fill up stuffs for your frog. It will then prompt you to Fig. 3. The backpack consists of 3 different boxes, i.e. Bento, Amulet/ Lucky Charm, Tools/Items. At here, tap on respective box and fill in the stuffs which you just purchased from "Shop". Tap on button below to confirm packing. Note that after confirmed, no adjustment can be done anymore. Your frog is ready to embark on his adventure by using the luggage which you just prepared for him! Remember, different combinations of stuffs in backpack will bring different kinds of postcards from your frog during his travel journey. So, if you invest in cheap food, there is a potential that no postcard delivered for you. Exception only on his first journey, which I have explained in previous post, where you spent only 10 clover leaves to buy grape scone and bring you back typical Nagoya postcard. After this, maybe is very low chance you will get good postcard if you spend less on him.

 The frog will embark on his journey without you knowing. However, you will get message box prompted that he has already on his adventure. And you can note that the frog's room window is already without light on. Don't be sad, he sure will come back home. I have read that the frog's journey can be from 1 day to maximum 4 days. However, after many days of waiting (which maybe is only a few hours passed, because you miss your frog's existence so much), you start to wonder why your frog has not come back home sweet home? So what can you do? Remember go to Fig. 4 to check if the table is empty or already with stuffs inside. If it is empty, then your frog will not come back home. But, rest assured, just put some stuffs (most important, at least one food in the Bento section) in the box and he will be back soon. In this table section, you can already start to prepare foods, amulets, and/or tools for your frog's next adventure. Sometimes during your working hours you are unable to online and check out Travel Frog frequently, hence your frog will directly take those stuffs from table and embark on his own journey already. So prepare everything before hand so he is always ready for adventure. The stuffs you have put on table will automatically transferred to it's backpack like Fig. 3. Unless you want him to stay in room so you can stalk him, then you may consider to leave the box empty. 😂 Take note on the highlighted red box means clear. DO NOT tap on this as all your items will be cleared away from table, everything will be gone! Just tap on "X" close button after done your table preparation will do. However, if you accidentally tap on the clear button, fret not, just tap on the respective box again and you may choose the items for your frog's adventure again. After that, just click on "X" to close the table window. Remember do not leave table empty will do.

 So now you already know how to purchase items and prepare backpack for your frog. Let me translate the following foods and tools for you. When you tap on "Shop", you will be prompted with the following foods and tools which you can buy for your frog using the amount of clover leaves stated there. Refer Fig. 5 for the foods translation and the postcard effect that you can get if you purchased that food for your frog. Refer Fig. 6 and Fig. 7 for the items/tools translation and where your frog will travel to get the desired postcard effect for you.

As mentioned just now, you will have friend/visitor from time to time at the outdoor garden there. The friend may have snail, bee and turtle. If you feed them with food which you got from your frog inside food souvenir box, then they will reward you with many clover leaves and even lottery ticket (explained later). Simply tap on the friend, food souvenir box will open and choose one food to feed it. Different friend can have different types of reaction after consume your chosen food. May refer to Fig. 8 to 10 for the reactions.

Remember everytime your frog gives you postcards or souvenirs, store them and it will automatically appear in the postcard diary album. Still remember inside the frog's room? Just tap on curtain and it will automatically link you to postcard diary album and rare souvenirs around Japan which brought back by your frog. You won't want to missed out your frog's photos right? When you get the postcard, your mailbox will have letter icon appeared and tap on it to view the postcard, tap on the right button (保存) to save the postcards. 

Here comes the lottery portion. Every time your frog goes out travel, he will bring back one lottery ticket for you. Additionally, friends/visitors of frog will give you lottery ticket sometime as well. When you accumulate 5 lottery tickets, you get a chance to test your luck in the lottery portion. Refer to Fig. 11 for lottery page. From here as an example, you have 2 lottery tickets on hands currently, once it hits 5 then you may test your luck in this lottery by taping on bottom left button will do. You will get one ball as a result. Here, there are a total of 5 different balls (4 colorful balls and 1 white ball ) which can be drawn out from lottery machine, refer Fig. 12.

Detailed explanation of different types of balls drawn from lottery as below. The analysis was done so far by those who have acquired them, however it still has more possibility which you can go and explore own. After all this game is fairly new and everything is still a mystery.

Yellow Ball (黃玉)：Get amulet which looks like train ticket. On top of the ticket can see east, west, south and north words in Japanese. From left to right, refer below:

East (ひがし)/ Yellow train ticket: Frog will go to eastern area for travel.

West (にし)/ Green train ticket: Frog will go to western area for travel.

South (みなみ)/ Red train ticket: Frog will go to southern area for travel.

North (きた)/ Blue train ticket: Frog will go to northern area for travel.

Red Ball (赤玉)：Get food/ bento for your frog. Put this in frog’s backpack and the postcards will have other travel companions! From left to right, refer below:

Red candy (いちごの金平糖）：Mouse

Lemon candy（レモンの金平糖）：Butterfly

Grape candy（ぶどうの金平糖）：Crab

Melon candy（メロンの金平糖）：Random according to luck

Green Ball（綠玉）：Mantou bun has similar effect with candy. Put this in frog’s backpack and the postcards will have other travel companions! From left to right, refer below:

Carrot mantou bun（にんじんぼうろ）：Travel to eastern area. Mouse has higher potential to appear

Pumpkin mantou bun（かぼちゃぼうろ）：Crab has higher potential to appear

Bean mantou bun（えだまめぼうろ）：Travel to central area. Butterfly has higher potential to appear

Milk mantou bun（ミルクぼうろ）：Random according to luck

Burdock mantou bun (ごぼうぼうろ）：Random according to luck

Blue Ball（青玉）：Get amulet/ lucky charm. Effect is increase the chance of frog to go to specific area for travelling.

Yellow amulet（黄色のお守り）：Potential to go to eastern area

White amulet（白色のお守り）：Potential to go to western area

Red amulet（赤色のお守り）：Potential to go to southern area.

Blue amulet（青色のお守り）：Potential to go to northen area.

Peach amulet（桃色のおまもり）：Random according to luck

White Ball（白玉）：Get nothing but only a lottery ticket. Once accumulate to five lottery tickets, will get a chance for lottery. 

Along the journey, frog will meet different kind of travel companions such as mouse, butterfly and crab. I haven't gotten much of this yet, but your chance will be doubled if you invest in good luggage preparation! There are many photos online like below, spoiler alert!

There are already some sharing online regarding the postcard's background location which your frog bring back to you. We can see that all postcards' locations spread around Japan! Really hope frog can travel even further like around the world, so can see even more beautiful landmarks around the globe! The fun thing on Travel Frog, for me is gathering postcards and anticipating on the place which my frog has been traveled to! 😁
