Stellar at 1-Altitude (8 Course Elements Fine Dining Dinner)

FAQ on Stellar at 1-Altitude:

1. What attracts you to come to this restaurant?
👉 Purposely choose a nice fine dining restaurant to celebrate our 3rd year wedding anniversary! 💑 Stellar has been voted as the most romantic restaurant in Singapore in Chope apps by all the Singapore's diners out there! It receives very high reviews on special occasion restaurant for celebration if you check on Tripadvisor website too! 💓

2. What do you expect to dine in this restaurant?
👉 Modern Australian fine dining menu served in Stellar restaurant. Options of Ala carte (cheapest) and seasonal set menu (varies according to selection). They have lunch (cheaper price) and dinner set menu (more expensive price). All prices quoted here are without taxes yet:
  • Lunch set comes at 3 course (SGD 48/pax) & 4 course (SGD 58/pax)
  • Dinner set comes at 6 course (SGD 188/pax) and 8 course (SGD 258/pax)
We ordered 8 course dinner menu (SGD258/pax) to celebrate our big day (menu link HERE)! From all the menu above, only 8 course has special curated dessert designed in front of our eyes directly 😱! This is the main reason why I am choosing this 8 course. 😆 Guess this is a very unique dining experience to see the dessert designed from scratch on your table directly, and what's more, they have customized "Happy Anniversary" words on top of the plate too! 💃

3. What is the recommended time to dine in this restaurant?
👉 Definitely dinner time, try to come early at 6pm so you can enjoy from sunset till night when the Marina Bay Sands and Singapore skyscrapers begin to light up beautifully! Go up 63rd floor 1-Altitude skybar (free entrance if you dine in at Stellar) to enjoy the panoramic view of Singapore to end the lovely night!
Tips: Opt for lunch if you would like to save some bucks! However I would strongly recommend dinner if you can splurge once in a while. The scenery from sunset orange hues to shimmering light at night time is too spectacular!
Tips:  Make sure to make reservation ahead to avoid disappointment! Especially if you are aiming the window seats (facing Marina Bay Sands)! It is selling like a hot cake really, people usually make reservation one month ahead! 😂 We are so lucky to be able to get it when we reserve 1 week ahead only, maybe because we are going for 6pm dinner which is the 1st slot session. 😊

Located in Raffles place, we are visiting Stellar at 1-Altitude on our special day. Stellar is an Australian fine dining restaurant with a romantic view of Singapore skyline. It is the highest building in Singapore so you would be granted with a nice bird eye view of skyscrapers and Singapore's iconic landmarks. The restaurant is located at 62th floor. The highest fine dining restaurant in Singapore, no wonder it is rated as the most romantic restaurant in Singapore and diners often come here for special occasion celebration! 💕

There is a 1-Altitude skybar at 63rd floor where you can visit for free if you dine in at Stellar. The usual admission price (as of 2021) for skybar is SGD 35 (before 9pm) / SGD45 (after 9pm). There is a minimum spending of SGD 80 - SGD100 needed if you want the best front seats in 1-Altitude skybar. 1-Altitude is seated at 282 metre above sea level & awarded as the highest alfresco bar in the world! It boasts the best 360 degree panoramic view of Singapore's city! So you can a lot of Singapore's iconic landmarks in here directly! Personally, I think this is even better than Celavi (skybar on top of Marina Bay Sands building) in term of the view, environment and privacy. Celavi is more crowded and party style. 1-Altitude is less crowded and nicer view.

The Fullerton Hotel, a famous 5 star hotel in Singapore.
You can see Marina Bay Sands at the back!
In the front you can see Duck Tour which is a river cruise along
several iconic spots in Singapore!
We walk from here leisurely to Stellar, about a 5 minutes walking distance.

Ride the elevator up and we have reached Stellar restaurant at the blink of an eyes!
Quickly grab a photo 1st when we arrive at the restaurant.
Our reservation time is 6pm for dinner.
We are opting for 8 course elements menu.
We are so glad to be able to sit at window seat! 😄

COMPLIMENTARY

Menu: Bread with butter spread
Taste Review: Hot bread served to our table when we seated. Crunchy baked skin at the outside which is really nice to eat. The texture is a bit like the combination of croissant plus bread. Airy and crunchy, paired with butter, it is delicious as a starter! (I am regretting why I not go for 2nd piece of bread when they ask us.. 😧)
Taste Rating (over 5⭐) : 5⭐

Complimentary bread with butter spread.
Cute like mushroom 🍄.

AMUSE BOUCHE (1ST COURSE)

Menu: Puff and cracker with toppings
Taste Review: Crispy cracker with topping such as crab meat as appetizer. The topping is a bit salty in my opinion. The cracker is nice to eat.
Taste Rating (over 5⭐) : 3.5⭐

Thanks my hubby for the nice candid shot with MBS at the backdrop 😻

APPLE & CREAM (2ND COURSE)

Menu: Burrata, apple, quince, celery, buckwheat puff
Taste Review: Good for cheese lovers, burrata topped up with small pieces of fruits. Much like eating yogurt with crunchy toppings.

THE QUEEN OF THE SEA (3RD COURSE)

Menu: Seared hokkaido scallop, kaluga queen cavier, leek espuma, watercress oil
Taste Review: Nice Hokkaido scallop, it is flavorful too, garnished with cavier and some greens. Topped up with watercress oil which is a surprising factor to me (never know of watercress oil before 😂), makes the texture smoother.
Taste Rating (over 5⭐) : 4.5⭐

PACIFIC REEF (4TH COURSE)

Menu: Fremantle octapus, pickled clams, sea herbs, seafood essense
Taste Review: Hard yet chewy octapus. Not very fresh but it is ok for the standard. It is quite flavorful as they have blended it with some sea herbs and essence made of seafood.
Taste Rating (over 5⭐) : 4⭐

Light up to welcome the night 😊

INFLORENCE & PISTA (5TH COURSE)

Menu: Texture of cauliflower, frozen creme fraiche, pistachio emulsion, gooeseberries
Taste Review: Hot cauliflower served with frozen buttered cream, when mix them together and bite it, the sensation to tongue is nice due to the alternating cold and warm bites. Topped up with nutty pistachio emulsion and gooeseberries fruits, this is a delicious plate to enjoy!
Taste Rating (over 5⭐) : 5⭐

Night falls, the view is even more mesmerizing with the golden lights on! 😱

OCEAN JEWELS (6TH COURSE)

Menu: Australian line caught market fish, australian marron, agretti, crustacean sauce
Taste Review: Here comes one of the main courses of the day, it is Australian fish (crispy skin on top) and marron (similar to crayfish, firmer in texture). Cooked with agretti which is a small crunchy vegetable like a "land seaweed", taste mild salty. Lastly the best crustacean sauce brings up the whole flavors of the dish! The sauce is cooked with seafoods and thus it is delicious when mix with the dish. I would prefer if the crustacean sauce can be thicker in texture, overall a nice main course!
Taste Rating (over 5⭐) : 5⭐

BEEF x ALIUM & SMOKED DUCK (7TH COURSE)

Menu: (Beef) F1 wagyu sirloin, tempura pickled shallot rings, white onion soubise, caramel onion beef jus, poached leeks
(Duck) Spiced duck breast, kale and bulgar wheat, chicken skin crumble, sherry smoked jus
Taste Review: The original 8 course menu is beef for this course. However I am not eating beef and thus opt for duck instead. You can inform your food preference to waiter when ordering. At the end of this course, I have actually tried out beef (small chunk) and duck. Surprisingly beef is nicer to eat and doesn't have the stung smell (we order medium well cooked), it is chewy and skin is grilled till fragrant. Duck meat smell is quite strong to my liking, although it is smoked and spiced but still has a bit of the stung flavor. However I enjoy the kale and bulgar wheat, it is a type of cereal wheat like rice but more protein and higher in fiber which makes it more nutritional.
Taste Rating (over 5⭐) : 4⭐ (Beef) & 3.5⭐ (Duck)

DESSERT ART (8TH COURSE)

Menu: Elegantly crafted creations specially curated by our pastry chefs at your table
Taste Review: The highlight of the night is the specially curated dessert art presented in front of our eyes directly! It is a galaxy 🪐 like dessert art, a very special dining experience you can't get anywhere else 😍 ! You have to opt for 8 course dinner just can enjoy this unique performance. I love this specially designed dessert art to us, and they are so nice to write up "Happy Anniversary" word to end the performance, and wish us happy anniversary. There are many tables with anniversary and birthday celebrations, when you reserve the dinner just put up a note and they will customize the word to you accordingly. The design of the dessert art for anniversary and birthday is different too, I look at other table with birthday celebration, if not mistaken they are having macarons? Ours one is "mushroom" cake. Surprisingly the "mushroom" is actually made of icing sugar. Beside "mushroom" cake, it is passionfruit sorbet with orange, grapefruit, cherry tomato, and ends with liquid nitrogen (the scene looks very stunning when they take this out and put on top of our plate! 😱 View my YouTube video below for the real show! 😎). The taste is not bad too, just presentation surpass the taste already and wins my heart directly! 😄
Taste Rating (over 5⭐) 5⭐

Love this custom made dessert art so much till I keep on taking photo non stop! 😂
So galaxy like 🪐 and definitely the highlight of our 8 course dinner. 😎
Perfect ending for our anniversary dinner in Stellar restaurant! 😍

At the end of the dinner, we walk around the restaurant and go to the other side of window seat. There are two types of window seats with different view in Stellar restaurant. The most famous one is the view of Marina Bay Sands which easily sold out 1 month ago. Another view is looking at buildings and vast field. Do take note of this and special request when you make reservation, no guarantee provided but they will try their best to fit for you! I even see a couple who sits at the center table being shifted to window seat in front of us when the previous diners left and the seats are left out empty, the service here is impeccable so don't worry. 😉

We ride the elevator to 63rd floor 1-Altitude skybar to see the panoramic 360 degree view of Singapore's cityscape. The entrance is free if you are dining in Stellar restaurant as explained at the top of the post. I love the view up from here so much as it feels like I am on flight, I miss traveling very much 😔. Stellar at 1-Altitude is not only a romantic fine dining restaurant, you can visit the world's highest alfresco bar at the same time too and look at the gorgeous view here 😍, at least I feel like a tourist in Singapore city when I am trapped here and not able to travel to overseas due to pandemic. Romantic restaurant + attraction itself (kill 2 birds with 1 stone), I would say yes to visit Stellar restaurant again in future, and would really recommend fellow friends to try out if you are in Singapore! Throughout the lifetime we have enjoyed various kinds of meals which you may tend to forget easily, but some are so memorable that you will remember for lifetime, and Stellar at 1-Altitude is one of them in my list (in Singapore, of course they are other really pretty restaurants in overseas)! 💖
